I have been so blessed in this life. I have competed successfully against Phil Mickelson and Jim Furyk on the golf course, helped defeat the evil Wal-Mart empire in the largest employment class action in the United States (please don't shop there!), traveled to the Soviet Union (when it was the Soviet Union), graduated with honors from both business and law school, became a friend of Bill W, and was inducted into the University of California Sports Hall of Fame.

Today, taking care of my mind and body is one of my top priorities. You only have one body, so why abuse it? I thrive on challenging myself intellectually and learning new things. That's why my jobs as an attorney and an adjunct professor work so well for me. While I take care of myself through eating well and keeping active through hiking, biking, and playing golf, I also know how to live in the moment and accept life on life’s terms. Sometimes that means screaming my lungs out at a Bears' game with my nephew, and sometimes it means quietly reflecting on the events of the day.

My ideal match knows how important self-reflection and open communication is to a relationship and her life. She’s not afraid to say what’s on her mind, and appreciates my direct approach to issues.
