I would not think to recommend you to chance anything or convince you I am what you yearn for... The fact is it is unknown but have a good thoughts on what you desire but only when you get past the appetizers and see.the main dish is when most say damn I don't even like pasta, and I ordered pasta. But what matters after that is what is important... My thought to situations is, at least you actually found out you don't like it, somehow you ordered by mishap, and you may found other aspects although pasta in general sucks, you where impressed by the sauce it almost makes you interested to find a pasta dish to fancy... If you viewed this as a glimpse ok, or a subtle hint to follow, ok, either way it's a smile, laughter, and introduction of entirely worthwile substance to try!
